Celebrating St Joseph in The Philippines

Celebrating St Joseph in The Philippines

Iloilo City

The Feast of St Joseph was celebrated on the 20th of March 2017
at the MHM Formation House in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, Philippines. The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was presided by the Vicar General of San Jose de Antique, Rev. Fr. Ronnie Elemento.

In his homily, he emphasised the dreams of God and of St. Joseph of giving the utmost importance to life and family. He said that as missionaries, we dream to give life, we dream to build a family and we dream to protect life and family. In particular as Mill Hill Missionaries, he suggested, that as today’s missionaries we are to be formed as instruments of God’s and Joseph’s dreams.

After the homily, our three students from Malaysia (Christian, Elvost, Fread) and three from the Philippines (Glenn, Marvin, Ian) took their Temporary Oath. Likewise, our MEP students from Cameroon (Philip, Emmanuel) and India (Madhu) renewed their Temporary Oath.

As Mill Hill Missionaries here in the Philippines, the presence of our Filipino Friends of Mill Hill and the parishioners from parishes where we worked and are working was very much appreciated. The way they animated the whole celebration was superb.
