“It was worthwhile”. This was the comment on everyone’s lips at the end of the Development Workshop cum Assembly which took place last week, 7th to 11th January, in Kingwood, Mukah, Sibu Diocese, in Sarawak, Malaysia. Despite the three hours’ bumpy ride from Sibu to Mukah, everyone was in high spirits. All Members were present, with the exception of Fr. Albert, who was out of the country. He had hoped to be present but unfortunately his return flight was cancelled, hence he was not in time to join.
We were 16 in total, including Fr. Jimmy Lindero who is the Councillor for Asia Mission, Communication and Development, and two Members from the Philippines: Glenn and Michael who recently received Diaconate Ordination.
It was a warm atmosphere with Members sharing and listening to one another’s journey in Mission, the ups and downs and encouraging one another. It was also an opportunity to evaluate how each of us is witnessing to the love of God; lovingly serving the community, in accordance to the Society’s mission and vision.
