THE CANCER JOURNEY CONTINUED
It is amazing to be taken up into the Indian mission to the West. We are the beneficiaries of the ‘Ministry to Priests’ wing of the Seihon ministries from Kerala in India. The Seihon ministry has members scattered all over the English dioceses and they come together every month numbering up to 3000 at a convention centre in Birmingham. What is special is that the whole community is involved in this multi-pronged ministry: they reach out to the youth, sick, to children, to childless couples, to alcoholics. Not only do they stress catechesis but also the healing side of the gospel.
Fr Robert O'Neil mhm will be the keynote speaker at the World Mission Day Conference for lay people, priests, missionaries, religious, students and academics.
DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER
Two young people sponsored to attend the annual Justice and Peace Conference at Swanwick expressed thanks to Eddie - Mill Hill for the experience. Danica said: “I am highly interested in politics and I have really enjoyed the conference. There’s a lot of like-minded people across a range of age groups and as a young person I’ve learnt from them; As a young person they listened to me and treated me as an equal so that’s really nice.” Emma Atherton said: “I love coming to the NJPN conference because it really energizes me. It’s life affirming and lovely to see that other people are working at grass roots on JPIC issues.”
The Franciscan Missionaries of Saint Joseph (FMSJ) a.k.a. Mill Hill Sisters founded by Alice Ingham in 1871 have always worked closely together with the Mill Hill Missionaries in many places around the world.
